Poem: The Game

I felt his hand touch my hair

Soft and velvet

His eyes said love

His heart wanted mine

Soft and velvet.

We played a carefree game

Avoiding his gentle touch

Teasing that he displayed too much.

Laughing that he loved just me

He laughed and told me, “Never”

Yet his heart showing through his eyes

Said, “Forever”.
